India set to announce the early COVID-19 Vaccine, Even ready to early Authorization if Needed

Rising pandemic effect across the globe no country is lacking to take the initiatives for research and development of covid-19 vaccine. Indian government is also taking the rightful measures and leaving no stone unturned in developing a vaccine against corona virus infection. Bharat Biotech and Zydus Cadila have presented the first tow domestic vaccines called Covaxin and ZyCOV-D. They have almost finished the phase II clinical trials. As the whole nation is eagerly waiting for the vaccine that is safe and effective the government is also supporting through emergency authorization to the vaccine candidates.

The ICMR officials stated the parliamentary panel that the two vaccine candidates are almost complete with the stage II trials and in future if the center decides emergency authorization can be provided to the vaccine as effort to control the outbreak. The Director of Indian Council of Medical Research informed the members parliamentary members that the tow vaccines developed by Bharat Biotech, Cadila and the Serum Institute of India are standing separately at different trial phase.

While speaking to the meeting on when India will have a COVID-19 vaccine, Director General Balram Bhargava of ICMR stated that the vaccines have almost completed the second clinical trials and the normally the third phase of the final phase takes about six to nine months. However, if the government decides early authorization can be considered and provided to the vaccines.

The COVID-19 vaccines by Bharat Biotech and Zydus Cadila are nearing completion of phase II trials. However the vaccine present by University of Oxford and AstraZeneca in coordination with Serum Institute of India is in the initial stage of phase II. In addition, the British Swedish firm signed a partnership agreement with SII a manufacture of Oxford COVID-19 vaccine for India and other low and middle income countries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the nation on Independence Day said that the people should know the talent of the India scientist is like ‘rishi munis’ they are continuously working day in & out for in the laboratories for development of vaccine. There are various vaccines in different testing stage which is very great and once the scientist give the green signal for the vaccine the mass scale production will be initiated.
